The moment: Peter saves Claire

What happens: The “save the cheerleader, save the world” mantra had been drilled into us like they were our times tables, so it was no surprise that Sylar’s visit to Claire’s school to kill her was a big moment in the series. As well as featuring the comeuppance of Claire’s annoying cheerleading rival, the episode saw Peter saving her from Sylar. In return, Claire brought him back to life, which was nice of her.

Why we loved it: Excitingly for Heroes geeks, as well as being edge-of-seat stuff, the episode was also Claire and Peter’s first meeting. And we know they later turned out to be related, but there was definitely more than a hint of romance in their smiling exchanges.
